Woven bread

  • 675g sifted flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 10g yeast
  • 200ml water
  • 50g old
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 yolk

RECIPE PREPARATION Braided bread:

Put warm water, yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl and mix. We wrap the mayo and put it in a warm place until it doubles in volume. In another bowl put the sifted flour, mayonnaise, salt, eggs, oil and knead the dough well. Grease the dough with a little oil, cover it and let it rise in a warm place for 40 minutes. Press the flour on the work table and knead the dough a little more. After that, divide each dough into 3 balls. We spread each ball of dough with the palms until we form some not very long rolls. Put three rolls, go through the edges well, weave the bread, and again we catch the edges well. It is woven on a tray lined with paper, and we do the same for the other. Let the braids rise for another 30 minutes. Mix the yolk with a tablespoon of water and grease the braids with a kitchen brush. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top. Preheat the oven to 180 °, bake for 30 minutes until nicely browned
