Shock fruit jam

  • 1 kg of shock fruit
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • juice from a lemon
  • 3 sachets of vanilla sugar

We remove the shock beans from the branches. We will choose only well-ripened fruits. We wash them in two or three waters and leave them aside.

In a bowl, boil the water together with the sugar until it turns into syrup.

Add the shock fruits, vanilla sugar and lemon juice.

From this moment, boil the jam for about 45 minutes. It seems like a lot, but the shock jam is harder to bind than an ordinary jam.

We put the hot jam in the sterilized jars and we staple the jars well. We turn the jars upside down until they cool, thus preventing air from entering.
